A Level Maths

AS Maths (A Lever year 1) 2 hour session each week

We accommodate all common exam boards [Edexcel, AQA, OCR, MEI/OCR]. This is the second year under the new specification and linear course model. Accordingly, it is a two year course covering a syllabus comprising Pure Maths and Applied Maths (Statistics and Mechanics). All components of the syllabus are tested at the end of the course. So exam paper will test a range of concepts and skills and questions are likely to link topics from different parts of the course. Although there are exams at the end of the first year (AS) the main examinations that truly count take place at the end of the second year.

We will identify each student’s strengths and weaknesses through an initial assessment and work out an appropriate individualised teaching and learning plan. We will cover all topics of the syllabus focusing on developing deep understanding of underlying concepts. This will be reinforced through regular homework. We will ensure the student is able to rise up to the demands of A Level maths course and progress to their full potential.

A2 Maths (A Level year 2) 2 hour session each week

The grades the students obtained in the AS exam is a good indication of their understanding of the mathematical concepts and their ability to solve mathematical problems under exam condition. It also signals how much the student needs step up their efforts or modify their study discipline.
