This book is a sequel to the book titled “11Plus MATHS, HARDER QUESTIONS Series 01 (ISBN 978-1-9993675-1-0)”. This book contains detailed worked solutions to the collection of 200 questions. For ease of use the questions are divided into 10 sections each comprising 20 questions. As mentioned in the previous book, these questions were prepared intentionally for students who are in the advanced stages of preparation for the 11plus examinations conducted by Grammar and Independent schools in the UK. This book contains mainly questions that can be classified as difficult.

We are aware that at this level the students’ algebraic skills are not well developed, so we have tried as far as possible to avoid resorting to algebra to solve problems. We have used algebra only where it is the most sensible approach. However, we have avoided using a letter for a variable rather than what it stands for. For example, when forming equations we have used “books” to represent number of books instead of using a single letter like “b” or “x”. Please bear in mind that most of the questions in this book can be solved using alternative methods. Furthermore, some of the questions can be much more easily tackled using algebra than by non-algebraic methods.
